Oak Leaves

The other day, I picked up an oak leaf from the ground that was crying out to me to be photographed. Something about it was achingly beautiful (this is a phrase that comes to me often!). I noted that it was not from here, not from our yard, but blown in from one or another neighbor's tree. Some trees this year have hung onto leaves for a long time, dropping them late. Another day I noticed another oak leaf, and then another. Now I have three and am wondering what I can do with them. The quick snap above does little to show what made me feel their aching beauty.
